I can only use my facial cleanser on my face, right? 

  • WRONG, you should apply all facial products to your face, neck, and decleté. Consider this; your skin on your neck and upper chest(decleté) is a lot thinner than the skin on your face and therefore is more susceptible to UV damage, wrinkles, hyperpigmentation, etc. So we must protect and care for this skin as we do our facial skin. 

 Do I need to have a skincare routine at home if I get facials on a regular basis?

  • Yes, it is not solely your estheticians job to care for your skin health. We like to say that it is a 70/30 relationship between you and your skincare specialist. 70% of the progress depends on how well you follow instructions to care for your skin at home. 30% of the progress depends on how well your esthetician incorporates professional skincare methods with those that you use at home. Follow skincare advice from your skincare specialist to achieve the skin health you desire.

Do I need to moisturize if my skin is oily?

  • We get this question often. Yes, even if you have oily skin, moisturizing is necessary. For oily skin we recommend a high water content moisturizer or a moisturizer that contains Hyaluronic Acid like our DREAM Moisture moisturizer. Hyaluronic Acid is going to be able to pull the excess moisture from deep within your skin to the surface while also repairing your skin's natural ability to moisturize itself without the overproduction of sebum. 

Do I really need to wear sunscreen in the winter?

  • Yes, sunscreen is even more beneficial during the winter months. The Earths ozone layer is much thinner in the winter; this means that the UVA/UVB rays that are present have the ability to penetrate the skins surface faster and easier. Wear your sunscreen and avoid winter sunburn, hyperpigmentation, and skin irritation.   

What is the proper way to double cleanse? 

  • Start with our Monarch Facial Oil. Apply 4-5 drops to fingertips then massage into face for at least 4 minutes. 10 minutes is even better. You will notice lots of sebaceous filaments or keratin plugs begin to dissolve. Once you are done massaging be sure to follow up with your favorite FlawlessSKN Cleanser!! Congrats!!
